Pet Button Training 101

(RxCKSTxR Edition)

So… you think your pets just Sleep, Eat, Poop and Repeat? Think again. Our furry friends are basically furry little geniuses. They communicate through tail motions, ear wiggles, and “I’m judging you” stares—but sometimes we’re too busy swiping on social media to notice.

That’s where Pushy Paw Talking Buttons come in. These magical buttons give your pet an actual voice—and suddenly, you’ll have crystal-clear insight into what they really want. (Spoiler: It’s usually food, treats, belly rubs and bathroom breaks.)

And here’s the wild part: Every pet has the potential to learn. Yep, age, health, and sass level might aﬀect their learning speed—but they can learn. Which means training isn’t as hard as you might think.

Step 1: Pick a Word They Already Know

Start small. Record a word your pet knows—like “outside” or “play.” Then, use it naturally:

Beforegoing outside, press the “outside”
Whenthey grab a toy, press “play.” Press. Action. Repeat!

Step 2: Reward the Curiosity

When your pet sniffs, paws, or glances at the button, celebrate like they just won The Greatest Pet Ever Award!

Positive celebrations help them connect the button to the action you’re trying to teach them.

Example: If your dog sniffs the “outside” button but doesn’t press it, press it for them and open the door. If they press it themselves—boom! Door opens, happy cheers, and all the love.

Step 3: Beware of the Treat Trap

Listen, I know you love giving treats. But if you reward every button press with a snack, your pet will develop E.S.B.F.T.S.

…Yes, I made that up. But the struggle is real. The button should mean the “action”, not “snacks on demand.”

Step 4: Be Patient (Like… Really Patient)

Some pets pick it up in days. Others take weeks. And some… well, some are too busy plotting world domination to remember button training. But keep at it. You’ll notice signs—like them standing near the button, staring at you like “Um, human? Hello? Isn’t this supposed to do something?” Eventually, it’ll click. And when it does, training over time will get easier and faster!
